Step 1: 20 Young Plants of size 2 to 2.5 inch (i.e. cell pack size bedding plants) are required to transplant
GardenCube™
on all four vertical sides and the top.
Step 2: Open Lid of
GardenCube™
Remove bag and carefully read planting instructions. Insert bag back into
GardenCube™
Make a 1 inch hole on top of the bag; Insert hose or pour water until bag is full.
It is important to carefully follow the instructions, making sure that water is fully absorbed
into the medium before planting.
Step 3: With a sharp knife make large drainage cuts at least 0.5 inch wide in the 4
circular holes in the base of the
GardenCube™
The central circular hole in the base should be completely cut off. Cut off top of bag as a square
along the four sides of the
GardenCube™
. Firmly re-install and close the lid. Note that the fixing clips on two sides of the
GardenCube™
are not necessary and may be broken off.
Step 4: Cut off all circular planting holes in the four vertical sides of the
GardenCube™
Gently press down the medium in each circular planting hole in the vertical sides to create a slanting space. Insert one young plant with it's complete root ball (including all the medium in which it was produced) in each planting hole and gently press the root ball into position. Be careful not to damage the plant. Insert one plant in each of the four planting holes at top of
GardenCube™.
leaving the central hole for any fixing such as a hanging or column rod. Gently spray water on top of
GardenCube™
with hose or pour water at top.
Step 5: During the first four weeks from initial planting, water twice a week
with 2 to 3 quarts of water per
GardenCube™
Therafter, water every three days with 3 quarts until
GardenCube™
is fully grown. The watering level and frequency may need to be increased during high temperature
and sunny conditions. For fast and vigorous growth, we recommend that liquid feed (eg. Peters Fertilizer)
at half strength be applied
regularly until
GardenCube™
is fully grown. Thereafter, further liquid fertilizer feeding is not necessary. For fully grown
GardenCube™
water every day or every 2 days with 3 to 4 quarts of water.
